This new three-week Adult Study on DVD helps congregations focus on critical world water issues as one way to practice our baptismal call to care for creation and share God's abundance. Use it together with devotional inserts, worship resources, bulletins, and posters to nurture spiritual growth in every member of your congregation.
This three-week session DVD does more than study scripture readings. It's a spiritual encounter that uses stunning works of art to help engage the heart and open the mind. It requires no leader or participant preparation. The DVD does all the work, guiding participants through a process of reflection and discovery using art, scripture, and prayer (10-12 minutes per segment).
Participant Resources
The devotional inserts serve as a foundation to the study. These beautiful 4-page devotionals explore stewardship of the planet's water as well as our own resources through three weekly themes:
1. Named - We are named "beloved" by God in baptism (Mark 1:9-13)
2. Encountered - Encountered by Jesus in our thirst (John 4:1-30)
3. Satisfied - Satisfied through God's abundant grace as we share with others (Isaiah 55)
The inserts also offer discussion questions and suggestions for through-the-week reflection at home. Inserts are sold in multiples of 50. Distribute them with your worship bulletin or newsletter. This will inspire greater attendance at your adult study and invite the whole congregation into the learning experience.
