The scripture texts for the Season of Advent ring with excitement. The words of Isaiah, John the Baptist, Gabriel, and the angels challenge us to Prepare, Comfort, Proclaim, Believe, Wonder and Praise!
 
Words of Wonder is a four-week faith formation resource for the whole congregation with a family Christmas devotional and a celebration for the Season of Christmas. These interactive devotions help families to build on the weekly Bible stories through at-home rituals and simple activities. Each week offers a 4-page devotional including art and scripture that can be used in worship, education, and at home, based on texts from Lectionary Year B:

• Advent 1: Prepare (Mark 13:24-37). Jesus' words remind us to stay ready and keep awake.
• Advent 2: Comfort (Isaiah 40:1-11). Like a tender shepherd, God meets us as we are.
• Advent 3: Proclaim (John 1:6-8, 19-28). John recalls Isaiah's words and points us to Jesus, the light of the world. 
• Advent 4: Believe (Luke 1:26-38). Mary responds to Gabriel's surprising announcement with faith and trust.
• Christmas Eve: Wonder (Luke 2:1-14, 15-20). In faith, the shepherds lead us to the manger.
• Christmas Day: Praise (John 1:1-14). Join in praise with all creation throughout the 12 days of Christmas.    

You can distribute these devotionals as either printed or email resources, reaching every household in your congregation for one affordable price. You'll receive files in these formats:
1. Low resolution .PDF files: Quick to download and great for emailing and when image quality is not vitally important. 
2. High-resolution .PDF files: Perfect for printing when image quality needs to be at its best.
3. PowerPoint files: Project full color versions of each image in worship and other gatherings.
4. Graphic files: This black and white art can be reproduced in congregational resources.
